Old Town Scottsdale
We spent Sunday night exploring old town Scottsdale and relaxing with the parents/brother when they were in town.
Initially we had thought that the shops in Old Town Scottsdale would contain cool western antiques... like rusted bullets or weapons from the rough riders days. Or maybe even western costumes from the 40's. Or political memorabilia. This is the sort of thing we like to look at when we go "antiquing".. stuff right out of the pages of history books.
Instead we came upon a lot of new Native American arts, mineral jewelry, new clothes... all new items. There are quite a few restaurants there as well so if you're planning on visiting, I'm sure lunch will be the highlight.
Willy Nelson is also a highlight. He was hanging out in one of the back alleys when husband decided to join him.
Willy was with this guy....
We stopped by the mini museum:
50-100 years from now, imagine all the items we use now in historical museums. Imagine Axe aftershave behind a glass cases, attracting beautiful women gone wild. Well, that's what the commercials indicate should be happening if you use Axe...
Instead of dining out we chose to dine in our hotel's restaurant and enjoyed the free happy hour beforehand. All in all, a very relaxing day with our family!
