Tradition normally dictates we would road trip to Colorado in September for our anniversary but after traveling every month since May, we crossed traveling off of our itinerary for September. We drove to the very top of Mount Lemmon to dine in the cute Iron Door restaurant then went location spotting for a fantastic view to watch the sunset.
Monsoon season brought out a plethora of wildflowers late in the year, probably more than when we went wildflower searching in the spring!
An excellent view of Tucson from high above.
We explored the Meadow Trail, a new one for us. It made us almost forget we live in the desert!
We ended up at Windy Point Vista as it provided sunset views uninhibited by trees.
