The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is a month long, colorful celebration of spring blooms in Mount Vernon, Washington. Think acres and acres of beautiful tulips and daffodils, as far as the eye can see.
We visited in the early part of the festival, only a week after snowfall in many parts of Washington State. I’d been looking forward to a Saturday visit to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival and the news of snowfall made me anxious about not seeing any flowers in bloom. But while there were some flowers that weren’t quite ready, there were hundreds of others that were open in all their glory as evidenced by the photos I took.
We chose to tiptoe through RoozenGaarde Display Gardens.

“Come back later! We’re still sleeping!”

We brought my niece here and she was fascinated by the bright fields of yellow!
