The Chapel of the Holy Cross, perched atop a towering red butte, is considered one of the Seven Man-Made Wonders of Arizona. It’s quite magnificent and hard to miss when driving on Highway 179 into Sedona.
The Chapel of the Holy Cross was completed in 1956 and today is still an active Roman Catholic chapel run by the Diocese of Phoenix.
