After spending 1 full day in Grand Teton National Park, the weather report called for rain all day. We decided to outrun the rain and drive further north to Yellowstone National Park.
We entered through the south entrance, which is less than an hour drive from our cabin at the Signal Mountain Lodge Resort.

Bluto was a little concerned about all the snow we encountered on the drive up.

We stopped at Lewis Falls, where the snow was coming down.

We don’t see snow very often in Arizona so husband was pretty excited.

On our way out of the park several hours later, the sun was out so we stopped again at Lewis Falls.

Baby girl wasn’t too impressed either way. 😁

We continued on to Old Faithful, 20 minutes before her next scheduled eruption. As you can see, there were quite a few others anticipating the event.

Thar she blows!

After watching the eruption, we followed the Old Faithful Geyser Trail along with everyone else in Wyoming. It is a very easy .7 mile heavily trafficked loop.

We drove around the park and stopped at several viewpoints but one of the highlights was seeing a young grizzly bear foraging for food.

A frozen Lewis Lake.

We were really impressed with Yellowstone’s beauty and hope we’ll have the time to come back next summer for a longer trip. Bluto on the other hand… he thought Yellowstone was just alright. He was more interested in what was for dinner.
