Seven Falls
Success! We swam in Seven Falls!
It's a little less than 9 miles round trip but well worth it because you can relax, swim and cool off at the falls. The water is pretty frigid though considering it's melted snow. Yes, it does snow in Tucson...
Starting out at the Sabino Canyon Visitor Center.
Water!
Apparently the 1.5 gallon jug of water in his bag wasn't heavy enough so this went in too.
I remember when we first moved to Arizona, how amazed we were at the height of the cacti. Still blows us away.
Dry waterbed crossing.
This trail is pretty populated.
Can you spot the lizard? It almost blends right in!
Taking a break to rest our feet.
Are we there yet?
Nearly there!
We made it!!
The water was freezing BTW. There's also a deep drop off half way to the waterfall before it rises again.
Ahhhh cold!
Taking the plunge.
I think this is when my better half and I swam to the waterfall but it was so cold I was shouting most of the way.
The group, exhausted but almost near the end of the trail.
The hike back was a little brutal but we had an awesome steak BBQ when we finished our hike!
