Remembering the Alamo
My older brother graduated from boot camp recently so my parents and I visited him at Lackland AFB. After the graduation ceremony, we went into town to visit a piece of Texas history: The Alamo
To be quite honest, I expected.... more. What is left of the Alamo is situated in a bustling downtown area, giving it a very closed in feeling. It's almost like it shouldn't be there --as if that plot of history should be picked up and relocated.
Technically photography isn't allowed inside the shrine... I snuck anyway.
