Trekking Up Mount Rainier

Ouch. We have sore sore limbs and a bad sunburn. Well, husband has the bad sunburn... I just get more brown!

We hiked up Mount Rainier despite all the snow and fog. We also wanted to check out Mount Rainier Inn since renovations have finally concluded! I've never been there but husband's godmother used to work there in the summers when she was in her girlhood. We decided to have a look at the renovations as well as see how far up we could hike Mount Rainier!

I imagine if we had proper climbing clothes, gear and more time, we would've attempted getting higher, but Anvil Rock was an excellent stopping point. Much, much higher than either of us expected.

When we're 70, we're going to look back and laugh. Well, husband will laugh and I will be at total loss as to who those people in the pictures are because I have the worst memory every and I imagine by 70 I'll be long past senile.
