Seven Mile Beach
Seven Mile Beach was rated as "The Caribbean's Best Beach" from Traveland Life Magazine. This is, without a doubt, a fact and not an opinion.
After Jamaica, our outing in Grand Cayman was just what we needed! It's definitely at the top of our list of places to run away to. Or open an off-shore bank account in.
Even though the skies during our time there was cloudy, it was a welcome change to the constant sun beating down on us. It definitely didn't deter us from kayaking, snorkeling, and enjoying the Western Caribbean's Best Beach!
Our life guard for our snorkeling excursion. We liked him a lot.
Husband has gone snorkeling many times but this was my first time. It was AMAZING!
This is what happens when I give my husband the camera!
The water doesn't look very clear in these photos but that's only because we were using a cheap disposable camera!
We didn't see any sharks (thank God), but we did see a sting ray! It was pretty amazing to see it on it's own. The whole trip was amazing actually... being able to see all the tropical fishes that for us, we'd only normally see in an aquarium, was amazing. Especially since we saw them in their own element, swimming in and out of corals. And also lunging at the bread pieces we threw at them. They kind of reminded me of dogs just waiting for you to drop a bread crumb!
After our snorkelingand kayaking trip, we relaxed on the beach with rum punch and soft white sand between our toes.
The other exciting part (for me anyway), was finding a coconut vendor! I used to have fresh coconut all the time when I lived in Guamand in the Philippines. Being able to drink straight out of the coconut then eating the meat right after was a nice trip down memory lane.
Can you tell that I'm really happy? :D The rum punch may have also had something to do with that....
We did all of our rum shopping here to bring back for our friendsand co-workers.
We did not want to leave this place at all!
Yarrr! That be a pirate ship.
A bunny towel waiting for us after our excursion.
I would love to go back to Grand Cayman and spend a week there!
