Labadee, Haiti is a private port resort in the Western Caribbean where tourists traveling on the Royal Caribbean cruise line can spend a day enjoying all sorts of beach activities. While husband was traveling for work, my best friend and I celebrated my birthday traveling for fun! 😉

Birch Bay State Park is a cove between Bellingham and Blaine in Washington State. It is a lovely area for a family picnic and a popular place to go clamming for oysters. Even on a drizzly, cold summer day, Birch Bay State Park was busy!

We ended our 2018 England trip in Newquay, Cornwall, where we would be flying out the next day. Our hotel was situated right across the cliffside, close to Tolcarne Beach. We strolled down to watch the sun set on our final full day in England.

A 15-minute boat ride off the Pembrokeshire Coast transports visitors to an island paradise home to our favorite seabird, the Puffin.

Nearby the most southerly point of the Pembrokeshire coast is a tiny 20 by 12 feet cell built into the limestone cliffside. It is known as Saint Govan’s Chapel.

A 2-hour long ferry crossing from the coast of Devon leads to Lundy Island, a jewel in the Atlantic Ocean. This dramatic 3-mile long, ½-mile wide granite outcrop has a long, surprising history and is also home to a fascinating array of wildlife. A full day’s trip out to this pristine island gives visitors a varied itinerary of things to do and see.

After a full day of exploring, our final destination took us to the beautiful Devon coastline where the Hartland Quay Hotel is situated.

Land’s End, the most westerly point of mainland England, has a bit of a reputation by cynics as a tourist trap. I like to think of it as one of the most magical places in Cornwall. Why else would we go back again after having visited back in 2014? 😀

Deception Pass State Park is probably one of our most frequented places to visit. Whether just passing over the windy Deception Pass Bridge, or spending the day at one of the many beaches, we seem to find ourselves at this beautiful location on every visit to Washington State.

One of Canada’s National Historic Sites sits on the coast of West Vancouver. Lighthouse Park, founded in 1792, boasts of 182 acres of first grown rainforest and is one of the most photographed spots in the western Canadian mainland.
