On our way back south from Squamish, we made a random quick stop at Porteau Cove Provincial Park, just off of the Sea-to-Sky Highway. The sound and its surrounding mountains were too beautiful for us to pass by.

One of the items on my Ultimate Washington State Bucket List is something I have been wanting to do for years: Kayak… at Kayak Point.
Outer Island Expeditions offers smaller sunset whale watching tours out of Anacortes through their Blackfish fleet. We had never done an evening tour before and previously had wonderful experiences touring during the day –lots of Orcas. So this time we opted to go on their sunset tour since we had heard from multiple sources that wildlife tends to be more active during the evenings.
